Job Description

We're hiring a Technical Product Manager to join the Unified Extensibility Platform Team (UXP), where we create technologies that power multi-platform feature development and 3rd party plugins in all of Adobe's creative applications - from Photoshop to Adobe XD. 

As a part of the UXP team, your work will impact the creative world on a daily basis. You'll play a role in improving the lives of millions of creatives and the industry through the many Creative Cloud products used around the world. Our talented team of designers, developers, and product managers work hand-in-hand to create consistent experiences across dozens of products. 

We’re looking for a product-minded, technical leader to help define the developer experience for UXP, to encourage internal and external adoption of the platform. You will be responsible for helping collect and drive API requirements, and providing an amazing developer experience by writing intuitive documentation, tutorials, and sample applications, to help support a growing set of common tools and frameworks for internal mobile, web and desktop app development.

What you’ll do

  • Build a deep understanding of our internal platform technologies and their underlying implementations.
  • Create and maintain documentation, tutorials, FAQs, sample applications, and other developer resources to help us deliver an incredible developer experience.
  • Work with engineers, product managers and other technical writers to ensure technical accuracy and consistency of the materials.
  • Help evangelize internal frameworks and SDKs to the broader Adobe organization with blog posts, sample applications, and brown bag presentations.
  • Support the platform and work directly with developers across the company to resolve technical issues.
  • Gather and share developer feedback to help improve on-boarding and the overall development platform.
  • This opening is in the New York or Bay Area Adobe locations.



Whatyouneedtosucceed

  • Experience designing and building shared libraries
  • A deep understanding of JavaScript (including ES6), and popular JavaScript application frameworks, such as React, Angular, EmberJS, etc.
  • 2+ years experience in writing, technical documentation, and/or developer outreach.
  • 3+ years of JavaScript development.
  • Experience with native mobile app development is a plus.
  • A passion for working with developers, learning about new technologies, and evangelizing awesome developer tools.
  • Excellent technical writing skills demonstrated via blog posts, documentation, and other written work.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Contributions to Open Source is a plus.
